Erica Hoverter, Mosaic Artist

Born and raised in Los Alamos in 1968, Erica Hoverter has always made New Mexico her home. She works predominantly in the medium of mosaic, using recycled glass, and created the 38 mosaic panels for a large scale public art installation in Rio Rancho New Mexico. She also contributed to The Wildlife Corridors Project, creating a cougar mosaic from tile. Hoverter has shown her work at The Wooden Cow Gallery, Slidell Art Gallery, The Fine Art exhibit at Expo New Mexico, and her architectural installations have been featured in Su Casa magazine. Her passion for the medium, fueled her desire to be self-taught, in addition to attending courses at The Institute Of Mosaic Art. Hoverter is currently working on private commissions in both mosaic and illustration.
